Make sure you check on your Health Fund

We are already in December! Before you know it, it will be Christmas and 2020 will be over. With time flying by, you may not have had the opportunity to make your yearly visit to the dentist. For some, this is not a problem, however, there are health funds that tick over at the end of the year, December 31st, which is fast approaching! Make sure you check your health fund and book in an appointment before it’s too late.

Unfortunately, health funds do not accumulate, so the money you put into it will be gone if you don’t use it. This could be upwards of $600. Don’t let those dollars go to waste and book in an appointment with us before December 31st.

Whilst each health fund is different, they generally allow for major and general dental within the year. General dental will give you rebate on standard checkups, cleans, fluoride treatments, x-rays, fillings and simple tooth extractions. Whereas major dental can cover the more complex treatments such as root canals, crowns and implants. Our team is able to assist with general dental, ensuring that your teeth are nice all year round.

By having a health plan, you also ensure that you are visiting the dentist at least once a year. It’s important to keep these appointments as we can give your teeth a good clean and check up and make sure they are healthy. We can also detect problems sooner rather than later, avoiding potentially costly and painful procedures down the track! We use our teeth at least three times a day, every day, so they do a lot of hard work, which is why it’s important that we take good care of them.

School holidays are also very close, so now is a great time to get those appointments in. You don’t want your child suffering through a toothache during the school holidays.
